Lambeth Community Response Fund
Local funders and local business came together to create a Lambeth-specific fund for projects helping low-income and vulnerable Lambeth residents respond to Covid-19.
A total of £580,000 was quickly mobilised. The fund has been managed by the Walcot Foundation, which contributed £250,000. Other contributors included Guy’s and St Thomas’ Charity (£250,000), Peter Minet Trust (£25,000), Battersea Power Station Foundation (£25,000), Sir Walter St John's Educational Charity (£10,000) and Winn & Coales (Denso) Ltd (£20,000). We linked this into the wider London Community Response Fund set up by London Funders which was providing a co-ordinated response by many of the funders in London. This meant that community groups had only to make one application which could be seen by more than 50 funders. Further details can be found here.
