Young people begin the programme by taking part in a range of employability training workshops (working as a team, effectiveness at work, employer expectations, preparing for interviews) and end with a 2 week work placement. Completion of the programme will lead to an accredited BTEC Level2 qualification. They are then matched to a volunteer mentor who provides support for up to one year. Currently Centrepoint delivers Workwise to its own service users – Walcot Foundation funding is allowing it to expand its work and deliver this programme to disadvantage young people in the wider Lambeth community.
