£60,000 over three years to Blackfriars Advice Centre to provide financial education lessons to between 500-1000 Lambeth teenagers across Year 9 – Year 11 (13 – 16 year olds) each year. These lessons will be provided as part of the new citizenship curriculum as well as through PSHE, depending on the needs and capacity of the individual school.
This project aims to be a preventative service that compliments Lambeth Council’s Financial Resilience strategy by providing long-term solutions to increasing levels of debt and financial illiteracy within the borough. It will help young people make behavioural and attitude change towards financial decisions in their lives by providing them with the necessary knowledge, skills and emotional intelligence.
