A grant of £39,816 over two years to the Peer Effect project where 200 students in four secondary schools will receive training in communication, campaigning and peer training skills.
Phoenix Education Trust

What does the project seek to achieve?
The project offers training in communication, campaigning and peer training skills to encourage secondary school pupils struggling with attendance, behaviour and effort to conduct their own campaigns and become involved in democratic representation within school and nationally with StudentVoice.

Lambeth Academy, La Retraite, St Martin in the Fields and Dunraven will take part in Year 1. Each school will be asked to identify another school to participate in Year 2. Year 1’s participants will then deliver the training to one of these schools in Year 2. Staff will provide feedback as to increased participation of students in the classroom and extracurricular activities.
