£20,000 awarded to Mitcham and Lambeth Citizens Advice Bureau to provide volunteering and training opportunities to Lambeth NEETs to help them access employment.
The aim of this project is to improve the likelihood of 16-24 year olds NEETs obtaining work or pursuing further training. It will do so by recruiting 3 groups of fifteen young unemployed people. They will receive initial customer service training and then carry out regular volunteering as an Information Assistant at Streatham CAB. After this assignment, they will receive training to give advice over the telephone at the CAB Contact Centre. They will be given support to create a CV and given interview practice.
