£35,000 awarded over two years to Fresh Visions for their Motiv8 Lambeth project, an employment support network that helps 40 Lambeth NEETs with their employment skills.
Motiv8 provides a tailored approach so that NEETs can find employment. The project has a team of youth mentors who work on a one-to-one basis to identify needs and aspirations, career mapping and routes into employment and then create an individual learning plan. Young people are then helped to obtain employment and provided with in-work support. Motiv8 have also recently connected with Dunraven Secondary school and provide mentoring for Year 11 students who are in danger of dropping out of education and becoming unemployed. The project aims to help 40 NEETs per year and 8 secondary school pupils in danger of either exclusion or leaving school early to become unemployed.
