Recognised referrers - who are they?
They include professional staff in
- Education - Teachers, Headteachers, Athletic Coaches
- Voluntary Organisations - youth workers, mentors, support workers
- Social Care Agencies - Social Workers, Advice Workers, Connexions Advisers, Support Officers
- Faith-based groups - clergy: priests, ministers and pastors Health – Mental health professionals, Practice and Specialist Nurses
This list is not exhaustive. Agencies in the above categories and working with Lambeth Residents will usually be regarded as recognised referrers. If in doubt, please contact us on 020 7735 1925 or at grants@walcotfoundation.org.uk
It is important to note that we expect referrers to know the applicant well and to be engaged with them in a programme of assistance (beyond completing the grant application on their behalf). We are thorough in our assessments and often come back with questions. Referrers must be prepared for this.
