The London Living Wage in Lambeth
The Living Wage is an hourly rate set independently and updated annually. It is calculated according to the basic cost of living in the UK.
Many employers choose to pay their lowest paid staff at least the Living Wage. It is higher than the national minimum wage.
The Living Wage has cross party support, with public backing
from the Prime Minister and the Leader of the Opposition.
Paying the Living Wage is good for business, good for the individual and good for society. It directly helps those affected by in-work poverty.
We support the London Living Wage (and are a London Living Wage accredited employer). We encourage employers in Lambeth to adopt it. Find out more - see the links and video (right).
