Our grants to organisations, projects and schools
OUR WORK AND FOCUS
We exist exclusively for the benefit of Lambeth individuals from low-income households. Our grants to organisations and schools are solely a means of reaching those individuals.
CHANGES IN RESPONSE TO COVID-19
In response to the Covid-19 Crisis, we have modified our usual grant processes. We are now managing the Lambeth Community Response Fund (a partnership of local funders and business) with an initial budget of £580,000 for C-19 related need in Lambeth.
For projects operating from September 2020, we shall be prioritising applications which:
Because of the need to be able to respond flexibly, we will only be awarding one-year grants for the time being. We hope to return to multi-year grants and our wider Governor Priorities from January 2021. We will review the situation in the autumn. Please visit our news pages for the latest information.
HOW TO APPLY (this is for organisations and schools. Individuals continue to apply to us directly)
Organisation Grant Applications
We are considering grant applications that fit our priorities above from charities and social enterprises via the London Community Response website which is currently open for project proposals. Grants of up to £50,000 (for a maximum 6-month project) can be applied for and The Walcot Foundation will be prioritising those applications which focus wholly or substantially on supporting Lambeth residents and fit within our updated Covid-19 priorities. Joint funding projects with other funders will be considered where work is spread across a small number of other boroughs or for larger grant requests. Typically, Walcot Foundation will contribute up to £25,000 towards a project proposal.
Please note closing date for Wave 3 applications is 5pm 31 July.
School Grant Applications
We are currently considering school grant applications that have been submitted to us earlier in June. Decisions on school applications will be made by 31 July.
If you have any questions, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
For reference, the Standard Grant Conditions made to successful grantees can be found on our website. Additional project/organisation-specific conditions may be added as necessary. If you are unhappy with the service given by the Grants Team or the decision made, please refer to our Complaints Procedure.
EDUCATIONAL FIELD TRIP GRANTS
Due to our current focus on supporting schools and organisations with issues exacerbated by the Covid-19 crisis, we are not accepting applications for Educational Field Trip grants for the 2020/21 academic year.
