Our larger grants are generally in excess of £10,000 and may be much greater.
We look for organisations and projects that equip and enable individuals and families to improve their financial circumstances through education, training, mentoring and other effective services.
The capacity to track clients over time (even after they have left the service) is a 'plus' as is the possibility of working intensively with a particular client or client group.
We are concerned with the quality of outputs, not just quantity and we like independent evaluations of projects and programmes. We are often just as interested in who you are not reaching as who you are. What went wrong and what can be done differently next time is as interesting to us as success.
Information on what we do not fund.
A site visit is required for all large grants.
There is no ‘maximum’ grant amount. Grants are typically under £30,000 – many well under £30,000 and a few well over. The amount of a grant depends on the interaction of a number of factors, particularly the potential of the intervention/service to enable individuals and families to move toward financial self-sufficiency.
