Interested in helping us in our work?

If you are seriously interested in our work and believe you have something of offer, we would very much like to hear from you.

Volunteer specific skill
We are interested in hearing from potential volunteers with expertise in the following -

  • historical research
  • project evaluation
  • social policy fields of poverty, employment, exclusion
  • what works in developing literacy and numeracy
  • communications and marketing
  • data analysis and mapping
  • garden design, development and horticulture

We don't expect an open-ended commitment. Sometimes having the contribution of a skilled person for a single meeting, or a dozen or so hours over a few months has been very valuable. If interested, please contact the Director to explore the options and our current needs.

Leave or give money
We exist because of the generosity and foresight of ordinary people - like Edmund Walcot our principal benefactor. If life has treated you well and you have something to spare, consider giving or bequeathing money to our work. We'll put it to work helping others break cycles of deprivation.

Governorship
The trustees of our charities are known as Governors. Vacancies occur infrequently, but we welcome expressions of serious interest from those who believe they have something valuable to offer, and who may wish to be considered when vacancies arise. Governors must have a clear and strong connection with Lambeth. Within the Board of Governors as a whole we seek skill and experience in, and knowledge of, such areas as -

  • health, education, social and public policy, accountancy, investments, property, HR and public relations, poverty and social exclusion, management, charitable and philanthropic work

This does not mean that you have to possess any of these to be considered.

Background information: Governor Job Description

We do not discriminate on the basis of age, gender, ethnicity, religious belief or sexual orientation. If you are interested, please contact the Director, preferably in writing in the first instance and enclosing either a CV or a statement describing yourself. We'd be delighted to hear from you.

Thank you!
